Received email message stating my trip was cancelled due to Covid. Referred to credit card company for refund. Company closed. Totally unacceptable. Over $7000.00 Paid for family of 6 to Jamaica. Absolutely cannot lose this money. Cruel company

Out of Business and Kept our Money

Bookit went out of business on March 2020. We booked a June 2020 family Antiga trip in October of 2019.

Bookit booked American Airlines and the Resort. We prepaid totaling $4,200. We had flight ticket numbers and seats and a resort itinerary. Bookit cancelled the flight and resort when the pandemic broke out.

We find out that they took the Airline refund and resort money and ran. Bookit even keeps your resort money until day of travel. Seems to me that if they are only a middleman and act as a travel agent then the Coronavirus should not have affected them as would a normal brick and mortar business. Their overhead includes operational costs and payroll only.

The Coronavirus should not have impacted them as much unless they were already operating as a ponzi sceme and used the pandemic as an opportunity to bail with peoples money.

Contact the Florida Attorney General to start an investigation. Bookit has their headquarters in Florida.

Was told by the Hotel that Bookit went out of business . I think they used the Covid for an out I’m out 3000.00.

Received a email that my trip was canceled due to covid 19 however the payment was still took from my account bookit emailed me saying it was in error and my money will be refunded its almost been a month and still no refund

Due to the virus our trip and flights were cacelled. Tried to get hold of bookit impossible,had 6 different numbers. When i did get a hold of someone at bookit they didnt even want to help me,they kept passing me to different operators until they loss me totally unprofessional. Needless to say totally unhappy.

Not able to contact Bookit.com or access reservation online

I made a hotel reservation and my card was immediately charged the full hotel stay of $1394.00. I have not been to access the reservation online and the customer service # disconnects. I have found no way to access any type of support. I have entered my email on the site and entered the itinerary number from the email they sent and my reservation is not found. According to the email I have until March 17th to cancel the reservation. Today is March 14th I have been trying for four days to contact customer service numbers at bookit.com. The telephone number I was given to contact for US Hotel reservations disconnects immediately. A different customer service number has a high call volume recorded message that says if travel is not within 72 to call back later. I have waited on hold on that number several times the longest time thus far one hour and twenty minutes without speaking to anyone. I have attempted to find a support # to figure out why I can't access the reservation online to cancel as on the confirmation email and the site. At this point I have no way to cancel the reservation or to contact Bookit.com about the reservation even though I am within the time I'm allowed supposedly to cancel it.

AngryBookit canceled my trip for Cabo San Lucas without giving me a heads up. They ripped me off on (2) things 1. $198.00 for pay delay, after reading it carefully I called Bookit in 10min or less I don't want to do this and I paid in full for our trip They said they CAN NOT REFUND ME, so that was a additional money taken. 2. why would I have to pay for Tax and service fee of $494.00-since your company canceled my trip-I didn't do it, Also I need and want the 3rd party airline company you use for United Airlines none was given. I would like a Travel Voucher, send me phone number companies name. If you can do this ASAP. Sorry to say I will NEVER use your service again and I would not recommend you to anyone. And if can send your attorneys information, I will get in touch with person if need be, BAD experience and unprofessionalAngry
