What's up Bookit?

I received an email from Bookit saying they've been trying to reach me...oh really?! Told me they had to cancel our resort reservations, due to "internal issues" We've had these reservations since June 2015. Luckily flight was made separately and I was able to get reservations to the same resort using a different travel company. The reason they gave me is "Too many negative reviews" I've stayed at this particular resort 3 other times and check Tripadvisor daily. Nothing but 4 and 5 star reviews. I'd love to know the real reason, but thanks for giving me all the undue stress knowing our trip was 2 weeks away. I did get my money back, but not for the insurance. Need to work on that, now!! Be careful using Bookit!!

Bookit.com Not Paying Their Bills

If you wonder why Bookit.com is not responding to your emails or just simply avoiding paying their bills, don't be surprised by this. They owe our hotel a lot of money and on top of this I just found out they have not paid a lot of hotels in the past few months because I hear there is some turn around that's about to occur. On top of this, their company is presently showing INACTIVE on the Secretary of State's website. What does this mean? They're on the *** of bankruptcy? Or perhaps their boss is spending all their money so can't afford to pay anyone or anything including a annual fee? Who knows right? Only time will tell but I strongly urge all customers and hoteliers NOT to do busy with this scam company. Something just isn't right and I'm sure we're all about to find out very soon.

Bookit has totally screwed us. They sent an email late last night, cancelled our trip at 3 am after our 3rd payment to Mexico was approved by Discover, they "bookit" declined it because of a change of address. Now they are saying to bad pretty much. What a terrible thing to do 3 days before we leave. Told my Brother in law what happened, weird, his trip was cancelled too. They fixed his. We leave in 3 days for our bestfriends wedding and have no where to stay after paying thousands. Sounds like this pretty common for bookit. Sad. They better make this right.

I posted a recent review about my experience with Bookit.com not booking to single men. It was suggest by this website that I try to call the customer service number, 888-868-0940. I would say try that before you waste your time on their website. I am a 55 year old professional and this is the first bad review I have ever given publicly about either a product or service. Vacation and travel are precious times and memories that I would not dare trust to a company with such a poor record. The videos of satisfied customers do not compare to the many complains I have seen online. Bookit on line=*** POOR. If it sounds to good to be true....

Terrible customer service - stay away from Bookit.com

Here's the letter I just sent to these guys. I suggest that you STAY AWAY from Bookit.com. They should call themselves "Tookit.com" I have just had a terrible time with your customer service group and will be posting as such to all of my social feeds and all of the review sites I know of. I unfortunately had to cancel a pre-paid hotel reservation of over $1,700 due to family sickness. Because I was within the cancellation window, I asked Bookit and the hotel for an exception and to refund as much of my fee as possible. The hotel was willing to re-book over $1,000 of the $1,200 that they received for the 5-night stay and I am in their debt; I will be visiting the area again soon and will definitely stay there. Bookit.com, on the other hand, chose to keep ALL of the nearly $500 in fees that they made as part of the reservation. I spent hours on the phone listening to hold music, and was told multiple times that "someone" would be calling me to help me out, with no return call. I was just told that your company will NOT be refunding me a dime. Not only that, I was somehow lectured about how this transaction is like hiring my brother to sell my bike. (No, I did not understand it either). The person on the phone even disputed the $$ breakdown, despite my having a copy of the invoice from the hotel to Bookit.com showing that your site kept nearly 30% of the entire fee I paid. You had one chance to make me a customer for life, and you missed it. I now have multiple chances to post the true facts of my experience with Bookit.com on as many review sites as I can.

I used bookit 5 times before but on the 6 time they fell to the bottom.i paid for a trip in oct.that was to be in feb.11 days before my trip they informed me i did not have a room.they lied and said it was the resort however they overbooked.how they chose me to cancell i have no idea.they did not offer me another place or any kind of adjustment.yes i did get my money back .lousy lousy customer service and a real didnt give a *** attitude..

My friend and I were supposed to leave March 4th for Jamaica. We received an email and call saying they were having " internal issues " and had to move us to another hotel. They said they would put us in a comparable hotel. Well that was a joke the places they said we could stay were not as nice. When we gave them the names of options we were willing to go to they said we would have to pay the difference. I ended up calling the hotel myself and that is when I was told the hotel is no longer accepting reservations from book it due to Non payment. Like many others have said book it's customer service is terrible you are on hold forever and they flat out lie to you. Here is a tip for everyone that put your trip on your credit card. Call your credit card company and they will help you dispute the charges. Book it told us they would only refund our hotel but we would get a credit for our airfare and we would need to call about the insurance we paid for. Even know all three of these things were purchased through book it. I am also going to contact BBB what they are doing to people is terrible. We ha e paid them in full and are now fighting for a refund. I will Never use them again!!!!

The short story is I booked a room; asked to change the dates slightly months in advance. Bookit agreed to everything but failed to actually follow through with their promises. I cannot trust this company and feel sad for anyone who has the experience I did. The long story is a tear jerker. It involves lots of phone calls with staff making promises, long waits on the phone, requests that went to the wrong email multiple times because of inefficient or incompetent staff and crying by the other person who went on a trip with me where we tried to save a bit of money.

Same exact thing just happened to me.also with rui in puerto vallarta just last week.they didnt offer me ***..i used them 5 times before but never again never...you just cant treat people like that i got an email 11 days before my trip..sooooo frustrating..lousy customer service..

In October we paid for an all inclusive trip to Mazatlan through Bookit. Upon arriving at out Hotel Playa Mazatlan we were told that Bookit had never paid the hotel for our stay!!!!! We had no choice than to put the charges on our credit card. The hotel staff was so accommodating, and told us they had other guests that had recently been caught up in this same situation. MANY e-mails later (and 5 days into our trip) Bookit finally credited our credit card. We checked into the hotel January 8th, and our friends that traveled with us have never received their credit yet. Needless to say, Bookit won't have another chance with us!!!

Bookit - Deadbeat travel agency

Arrived at Be Live Collection LaRomana Dr to find that our reservations were canceled due to non payment by bookit, put us in a holding room in a renovation area as not "real" guests. Poor working toilet, stripped room with a bed and side table,TV, no lock on balcony door Bookit wouldn't resolve this for 5 days with the resort. In order to get a real room we had to put a hold on our credit cards for double the rate after day 3 in the holding room, poor accomodations, The hotel took our passports also, it was "***". Bookit then offered me $100. take it or leave it toward another vac. So insulting arriving in a foreign country and terrified of your fate. ruined our vac, 25 anniv, as we were constantly at the desk with managers as bookit put the hotel liason on hold, passed around or disconnected for yes, 5 days. They will continue this inhumane practice unless they are reprimanded and made accountable for their actions, as I want to spare others from going through this.

Bookit did not pay our resort, our honeymoon was ruined!

When we got to the Grand Sirenis in Riviera Maya on January 9th, they told us our reservation had been cancelled because they had not received payment from Bookit.com. The resort was of no help to us, we were stranded. Book it did nothing, didn't own up to their mistake. We ended up in a cheap, dirty hotel in a bad section of Playa Del Carmen because no one else had rooms. We were terrified, had to book new flights home, spending another $1000 and still no honeymoon. We purchased our honeymoon package in June, there is no excuse for this!

We booked a trip for 5 nights at Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla on December 26th of 2015. When we checked in the resort informed us that Bookit did not wired the money to the resort for our room, therefore we had no reservation. There were two more parties experience with the same issue in the lobby at that same time. We were very upset and worried as we booked this trip back in September and paid off the trip. We were treated with cold feeted by the Paradisus concierge and left alone to figure out ourselves. We proved to them that our reservation with Bookit was paid off but all they said was nothing they can do unless we pay the room ourself. We called Bookit with our personal cell phone but the line was busy for hours.. No answers. We had no choice but again paid for the room with our credit card of $3456.00. Originally we paid around $2879 with Bookit.
