Bookit - Nasty, billed my credit card 3 days before arrival.

How long will these people be allowed to be in business before they are shut down? They billed my credit card 3 days before i even arrived. Fortunately my credit card company is every aware of Bookit and there UNSCRUPULOUS BUSINESS PRACTICES, and will take the charges off my card. Even the BBB is working on shutting them down. Everyone who uses them has had an aweful experience. Take your business somewhere else! I first tried calling the hotel and when i explained the issue the woman on the phone said tough luck "sweetie", that is how we operate. Well hopefully not for much longer. They seem to think they are untouchable in there business dealings.

Don't do it did not book with book it.com they will not help you if something goes wrong they will take your money will not help you customer service is the worst and making a complete is an impossible task so if you want to go on a vacation do not use

My name is Celia, and to say I'm extremely upset would be an understatement. I booked with you guys for $5.00 down to secure my hotel. Your representative charged my card $1420.00 which caused my mortgage payment to be returned on top of me having to pay a return check fee on top of the return fee from my mortgage company. I've spoken with several very rude customer service agents on top of a manager who said the call with myself and the agent had been listened to. She then confirmed that the agent didn't follow proper protocol and he made several mistakes on the call. She then offered me $100 off of my vacation for the inconvenience. Like several other times, I declined! I told her $100 off for a $1420 error would not suffice. This careless mistake caused a ripple effect of other problems. I refuse to spend money with a company that treat their customers in this manner. My Husband is a lawyer, so I understand advantage that I have, but I'm not trying to go down that road. All I'm asking for is a fair deal for a mistake I didn't make. If you have any questions please contact me.

Details
Arrived to Jamaica on Christmas night and the ground transfer was not waiting. Customer service closed so find a cab. Cabs are not that cheap for tourist on Christmas night. Got to hotel, checked in and asked about dinner reservations. Everything was booked for every night so it's *** buffet or go off site for dinner. This kind of defeats the purpose of all inclusive. In the end by using bookit.com I will pay more than if I would have booked directly with hotel. Live and learn I guess but don't think you are saving money you aren't. Called customer service to at least get my money back on the transportation. The person could care less about my refund, she is sending an e-mail and letting me know. Don't waste your money.

Gordon, my friend, I'm afraid you've expected too much from a third party player.

I do not understand the need for such organizations as Bookit.com when I've handled all of my own arrangements for over 4 decades.

They sure as heck don't take responsibility for the weather.

Advice : stop wasting time on the telephone.

Claims like this must be handled in writing and sent via Certified Mail return receipt requested to establish a positive timeline and provide a legally sound grounds for complaint and reimbursement.

They're going to act just like an insurance company : delay, deny, document.
